A Croissanterie from Home

In 2019, I joined Willis Towers Watson as a Graduate Software Engineer. At the same time, I started a recipe blog for homemade laminated pastries named Home Croissanterie. Armed with a rolling pin and an empty notebook, I set out to document and share the journey of an amateur home baker’s attempt to try and perfect the craft.

A year later, Home Croissanterie turned from a recipe blog into a home bakery business. I would knead, hand laminate, and bake pastries out of my small home kitchen in Macquarie Park. From there was born a miraculous journey - a road of hundreds of home deliveries and online pickup orders.

From little things, big things grow.

Today, Home Croissanterie sits in a cozy little shop at 418 Darling St in Balmain. Each pastry sold at Home Croissanterie contains 100% Australian flour and premium butter. It also contains the obsession, passion, and hard work of our bakers who make each one by hand.
